Business Ambassador Group
The Business Ambassador Group brings together a select group of business leaders from across Stockton-on-Tees to help shape the Borough's economic future.
The group serves as a collaborative forum to influence policy, advocate for the needs of the wider business community, and contribute to strategic decisions that support inclusive and sustainable growth. Members work closely with the Council and other stakeholders to ensure that business perspectives are reflected in local and national policy-making, and that interventions are informed by local data and intelligence.
The group's objectives include:
- championing Stockton-on-Tees as a destination for investment and business development
- influencing policy design and implementation to support sustainable and inclusive local growth
- supporting employment and skills initiatives
- promoting apprenticeships and lifelong learning
It also plays a key role in developing ways to measure the impact of economic programmes and sharing success stories that highlight the Borough's potential.
Membership is drawn from a diverse range of sectors and business sizes, with individuals selected for their active interest in shaping policy and supporting the local economy. The group meets regularly and reviews its membership and terms of reference annually to ensure its work remains relevant and effective.
