Stockton-on-Tees shapes business leaders
With over 5,000 business from a range of industries, Stockton-on-Tees continues to emerge as the powerhouse of the Tees Valley. Two local leaders, Jessica Williams and Christine McKie, spoke to us about their experience of managing businesses in the Borough.

Jessica Williams founded Just Williams in 2015. Originally a sales consultancy service, the business has evolved over the years to become a certified B-Corp sales and marketing agency.
Celebrating their 10-year anniversary, Jessica said: "Ten years on, we continue to grow and evolve as a business, and I am proud of all we continue to achieve. Our ethos as a business has always been to work with and support our local communities. As ever, we are on a journey and can and will continue to do more."
Another inspiring Stockton-on-Tees leader is Christine McKie, Managing Director of Energy Solutions at px Group.
Established in 2002, px Group is a leading industrial asset operator and solutions provider, renowned for its expertise in managing complex energy and industrial sites in the UK and Europe.
Christine began her journey at px Group in ICT, but her aptitude for commercial matters was recognised and she began her progression to where she is today.
Christine said: "My perspective on management has definitely changed from when I first started my career. I was lucky to work under great leaders who allowed me to seize opportunities, and I soon realised that people and collaboration are key to business success."
